International Friendly: Goetze impress, Neymar goal not enough as Germany beats Brazil 3-2, Video Highlights

Germany beat Brazil 3-2 in international friendly match held in Stuttgart for the first time in 18 years and end the win less trend over the visitors. Bastian Schweinsteiger opened the score from a penalty spot on 61st minute before The 19 years-old Mario Goetze beat Julio Cesar to score the second goal on 67th minute. Four minute later Robinho pulled one back. The third Germany goal came from Andre Schuerrle on 80th minute before Neymar get a consolation goal.
Robinho and Neymar goals could not stop Germany ended their 18 years win less spell in Germany vs Brazil encounters. Despite improvement on second half the South American giants under Mano Menezes need to work hard and avoid the 2011 Copa America tragedy.

FIFA World Cup qualification draws for 2014 in Brazil

The FIFA 2014 World Cup has been scheduled to feature 32 national teams from FIFA six continental confederations. Only the host, The 5 times world cup champions, Brazil will be allowed to participate in world cup finals without competing in qualification draw.. Spain, World cup and European Champions will join other 30 national teams in competing for their place in World cup finals.
The preliminary draw of the 2014 FIFA World Cup draw was made on 30 July 2011 at the Marina da Glória in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The 32 world cup place distribution
1. Europe (UEFA): 13 places
2. Africa (CAF): 5 places
3. Asia (AFC): 4 or 5 places
4. South America (CONMEBOL) 4 or 5 places (Brazil host)
5. North, Central American and Caribbean (CONCACAF): 3 or 4 places
6. Oceania (OFC): 0 or 1 place

2014 FIFA World Cup qualification for European zone-UEFA

The road to 2014 world cup for European zone teams will kick off on August 2012 after the Euro 2012. 53 national teams will compete for 13 allocated places for this zone. 9 group winners will automatically enter the world cup finals and eight best runners-up will face play-off for the remaining 4 places.

France recent poor performance pushed them to 15 in FIFA World Rankings world wide and have been drawn with World cup champions, Spain. In the last world cup play-off, France won a controversial play-off win over Ireland to qualify for the 2010 World cup inals in South Africa. France coach Laurent Blanc speaking to French FA's website, he said "At least we won't receive the tag of favourites with the world champions and European champions in our group. It's extremely exciting to compete with the best. It's through such matches that we can improve.''
''It'd be a lie to say that we're in an easy group. But we will focus on our task and France will take its chances as usual.
''Spain will definitely be our toughest opponent in the group. But I have confidence in our team and the goal will be to advance in first place.''

Kung-fu goalkeeper, Gustavo could be charged with attempted murder

A Brazilian goalkeeper playing for Sport Recife, Gustavo is to be prosecuted for attempted murder after kung-fu kicked Vasco da Gama's Elivelton in the neck during U19 match. Gustavo, 18 years old was later sacked by soon as video footage emerged on media. Elivelton was rushed to hospital but he is luck to have no major injury. Police are interviewing players of both teams.
Is attempted murder to harsh? Should police be involved with pitch incident before intervention by football association?

Copa America: History overview, Argentina and Uruguay 14 titles apiece, Brazil 8.

To-date Copa America has had 43 editions and 44th edition is still ongoing in Argentina. It started in 1916 and thus the oldest championship in the world. Since its inauguration in 1916, Six nations have won the Copa America cup with Argentina and Uruguay lead with 14 titles each, Brazil (8), Paraguai (2), Peru (2), Bolívia (1) and Colombia (1).
Copa America top scorers
Since 1916, 55 top scorers emerged as in some editions has top scorers tied in number of goals. 1983 had record number of top scorers tied, 4 players; Roberto Dinamite (Brazil), Carlos Aguilera (Uruguay), Jorge Burruchaga (Argentina) and Eduardo Malásquez (Peru) each scored 4 goals.

Record number of goals score is held by three players in 1949 Jair Rosa Pinto (Brazil) scored 9 goals and 1957 two player tied Javier Ambrois (Uruguay)and Humberto Maschio (Argentina) each score 9. Next to the list is Pele who scored 8 goals in 1959 but Brazil did not win the title and Copa America became the only trphy missing in Pele's trophy cabinet.1955 Rodolfo Micheli (Argentina) and 1953 Francisco Molina (Chile) both bagged 8 goals.

In the current Copa America edition, Sergio Aguero (Argentina) and Luis Suárez (Uruguay) lead the top scorer list with 3 goals each. Sergio Aguero was among top 10 scoers in Europen league competitions last season. Argentina failed to progress, Luis Suárez have a bigger chance to be top scorer if he score in the final. If Luis Suárez failed to scorer the top scorer award will again be shared and there is a possibility of another player to join the 3 goals scorer list.
Lionel Messi have had tremedous perfomance at Barcelona but once again fail to show fans expected at national team. Despite creating several chance for his team, only few were converted and the blam fall back to him.

Copa America 2011: Brazil 0-0 (0-2 pen) Paraguay: Brazil miss all 4 penalties

Paraguay sent Copa America holders packing to book semi-final spot after 0-0 in 120 minute and dramatic penalty shoot-out victory. Samba stars failed to convert even a single penalty and only one of them shot on target.

Three Brazil players; Elano, Andres Santos and Fred fired their penalty shoots wide, Thiago Silva’s penalty was saved by Villar. Cristian Riveros scored two paraguay’s penalties. Estigarribia and Christian Riveros.
