Seven players dominants premier league top ten scorers list in past ten years

The premier league top goal scorers in the past ten years only have seven strikers. Thierry Henry won the premier league golden boot four times in the past ten years, in 2001-2002 as Arsenal won premier league trophy and when he won the award for three consecutive years 2003-2004, 2004-2005 and 2005-2006. In the year 2003-2004 and 2004-2005 he also won the European Golden Shoe/boot award with 60 and 50 points respectively. Ruud van Nistelrooy scored many goals for Manchester United but only top the top score list once and gave Man Utd the title. Drogba won it twice 2006–2007 when Chelsea won premier league title and 2009–2010. Last season the top scorer award were shared among Manchester United Dimitar Berbatov and Manchester City Carlos Tévez both on 20 goals. Cristiano Ronaldo score 31 to fire the red devils to the premier league title and lead with most goals scored in on season in the past ten years but Ronaldo ranked third played to have scored many goals in one season since its inception 1992 after Andrew Cole (Newcastle United 1993–1994) and Alan Shearer (Blackburn Rovers 1994–945). But Cole and Shearer played in 42 games season. Cristiano Ronaldo shared 31 goals per season record with Alan Shearer though Ronaldo has high rate of goals scored per game 0.91. None of the top scorer played all premier league games in the past ten years but at least all have played more than 30 games. Andrew Cole is the only played to have played all league matches as he played 42 games in 1993–1994.

FIFA amends the offside law

FIFA amends the offside law
after Ruud van Nistelrooy controversial goal against Italy in Euro 2008 cause lots of tension in the game when he score what looked to be an offside goal.

Ruud van Nistelrooy was the last player facing the italian golie but there was an injured Italian player lying behind the line when he scored. Lots of discussion then rise whether the Dutch striker, Ruud van Nistelrooy was onside because of injured Italian player or not. To avoid unnecessary disagreements with match officials, FIFA have now made amendments of its law.

FIFA amends offside law amendment
The old offside Law read
When an offside offence occurs the referee awards an indirect free kick to be taken from the position of the offending player when the ball was last played to him by one of his teammates.

If a defending player steps behind his own goal line in order to place an opponent in an offside position, the referee must allow play to continue and caution the defender for deliberately leaving the field of play without the referee's permission when the ball is next out of play.

The amendment to Law 11 reads
When an offside offence occurs the referee awards an indirect free kick to be taken from the position of the offending player when the ball was last played to him by one of his teammates.

Any defending player leaving the field of play for any reason without the referee's permission shall be considered to be on his own goal line or touch line for the purposes of offside until the next stoppage in play. If the player leaves the field of play deliberately, he must be cautioned when the ball is next out of play.

FIFA also made amendment on penalty shoot out law. From now on;
If at the end of the match and before the kicks start to be taken from the penalty mark, one team has a greater number of players than its opponents, it must reduce its number to equate with that of its opponents and the team captain must inform the referee of the name and number of each player excluded. Any player excluded may not participate in kicks from the penalty mark. FIFA amended offside law came in effect on July 1.
