Premier league: Tottenham defeat Everton 2-0 to level point with United, Lennon and Assou-Ekotto super-strike

Tottenham Spurs meet in the game that was postponed on premier league opening day. The on form Spurs won 2-0 to level point with United and only three point behind Manchester City and eight point clear from fourth placed Chelsea that are a point on top of Arsenal. The goals come from Aaron Lennon on 35th and then came the super striker goals by Benoit Assou-Ekotto on 63rd which assured Tottenham of three points. Tottenham hotspurs are on the right right course to mark their fight for premier league title and prove their wealth in sport world.

Chelsea had once again being held to a 1-1 draw but this time to a team one place above it on premier league table as Emmanuel Adebayor and Daniel Sturrigde score and set to enter premier league top scorers table. Tottenham are will be on third place on this Christmas with a game on hand.

Chelsea FC manager Andre Villas-Boas was impressed by his team performance despite a draw.

'The performance was outstanding, whatever outcome, whatever the result,' He said. 'Even if the ball had gone into the back of the net in the last minute I would have come out of here extremely satisfied. I don't think we lost two points, coming to White Hart Lane with the run Tottenham are on. Getting a point here with the happenings in the game is excellent. He continued.

The manager also praised the under pressure John Terry for his commitment. 'His commitment and concentration were fantastic,' .... 'He anticipated the situation and it was a big opportunity for Tottenham, but we had massive opportunities before from the shot from Drogba that hit the bar and Ramires one on one with the keeper. The first two matches saw Celtic leading the group after beating Al Alhly 5-0 when the weaker fielded Barcelona side draw 1-1 with Tottenham FC.
Matches continue tomorrow 26th July as European champions. Barcelona FC rock horns with Africa champions Al Alhly (Kick off 1:15pm). Later in the evening Tottenhma FC and Celtic FC will play the last game of this competition (Kick off 4:00pm).
