Australia Tri Series 2012 will begin on Sunday, February 5, 2012 in Australia as per cricket schedule announced. Commonwealth Bank Series 2012 is an international tournament to be organized by Australia. Australia Tri Series 2012 will consist of 8-11 ODI Matches to be hosted by Australia in Feb-Mar 2012. The Australia Tri Series 2012 tournament is a part of Future Tour Programs prepared by International Cricket Council (ICC). Australia will host this tournament, beginning on February 5, 2012. In Australia Tri Series 2012 bilateral series, first ODI match would be between Australia-India on Feb 5, 2012 at 14:20 local time to be played at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne.

Commonwealth Bank Tri Series will be back in 2012 when India and Sri Lanka will participate along with Australia. The Tri Series was regularly organized since 1996 until 2008 when Cricket Australia (CA) abandoned its plan to continue Commonwealth Bank Tri Series 2012.




The Commonwealth Bank was last organized in 2007-08 when India, Sri Lanka and Australia participated. India emerged as winner after it won the first two matches of Best of Three Finals.




Each team will play four matches against both teams. Total 12 matches will be played between three teams before Best of Three Finals.
